An artful finishing touch on the troop gateway was revealed at the final committee meeting before the trucks get loaded. The vinyl banner is of a Volkswagon beetle, made into a stretched car and finished as a beach town woody. The windows will be cut out and then the banner is mounted on a plywood cutout and positioned so passing scouts can 'get in the car' and pose for a photo with the troop gateway in the background.
