Winding Down the Jamboree

Hey this is Ryan Nishioka, my phone died on the second day of Jambo...

There are AT&T stations here, but they only accommodate a little under 50 phones at any one time and each station is constantly flooded with scouts and leaders... And since most people just leave their phones in the charger lockers all day, it is difficult/impossible to get any charging time :(

With that said...

This is the last "real" day of Jamboree and we are packing all our camping gear onto the truck. This includes everything like tents, tables and just about everything else except our backpacks and medium bags. So... With only "open" canopies tonight, I'm really hoping for no rain!!!!!! On top of that, all of our cots are crammed under the two remaining canopies... This may or may not be a very very long night...

On a minor side note we got PIZZA for dinner...
Compliments of Dr Skahen :)

I'd like to think that we planned our return trip quite well...
By loading our stuff on the truck last, we insure our chances of unloading the truck first in CA.

As a recap of the past few days, the scouts have been participating In a wide variety of activities: like various types of shooting, rappel lines, swimming, merit badges, etc...

Although our touring and Jamboree are coming to an end, it seems to be the common consent of everyone that we are ready to come home...

So as we spend our remaining hours here, packing our bags and making last minute patch trades, most of us are looking forward to the water park and our plane ride back to CA...
